When the conference call that should have been an email stretches past the two-hour mark...sigh, some days, you just need a break. A place to slow down, breathe deeply and dig in. Enter L'Amico.
The concept is simple: think Sunday supper, Italian grandmother, backyard garden. Wood-fired pizzas emerging from twin copper-clad ovens. Heaps of freshly made pasta, just like Nonna would have made. A fresh, sophisticated menu of American food with a twist of la dolce vita.
The inspiration comes from Executive Chef Laurent Tourondel's childhood: leisurely suppers in the European countryside, surrounded by family. (Before anyone had to say, "No devices at the table!") Since those days, Tourondel has cooked and eaten his way around the globe. But it all comes back to this - a warm, welcoming space; a diverse menu of perfectly executed classics; a feeling of home sweet home.
So take a seat at L'Amico's intimate, 10-person bar or share a table (we've got space for everyone, even Aunt Gloria). Slide into a walnut-meets-steel chair and let the flurry of the city fade. There's no rush. The kitchen's open, the food's always fresh. And if you feel like silencing your phone, we won't blame you a bit.
